Family Program

Most families today are going – going – going – from the moment they get up. Parents are running around from schools, to work, back to schools, to after-school activities, home, and picking up the kids again… Then the kids are busy with homework, while parents are trying to get dinner together plus do a million other things at once.

It can be really hard to find time to create healthy meals for your family, to get exercise in and just to have fun spending time all together.

Many people are confused as to what good nutrition is.  It’s overwhelming with new information every day about what is healthy for us and what isn’t. We’ve done the research and have put together a nutritionally sound program – that the whole family will love.

Take the Family Challenge

This program is led by Chad Oler, ND, Sheila Robertson,  Optimal Body Balance Program Director (and Mom) and Sarah Droege, Nutritionist . The 8 week challenge includes in-home visits and phone-in visits (because we know how busy you are), weekly downloadable action plans, cooking classes, family activity days and complete, customized menu planning with recipes.

Being healthy doesn’t have to be a battle with time or a battle at the dinner table. You will learn how to create meals that are balanced that the entire family will love – even the 2 year old who only eats white bread and mac ‘n cheese. The Family Challenge will help your family eat healthier, be happier, spend quality time together AND have time to spare.

We know that families are busy and on the go. We also know that parents want the best for their kids. We are here to help them bridge that gap by providing you everything you need to be successful.

Families need a game plan to get healthy and make changes that last. We’ve created a plan that is easy to use, budget friendly and most importantly fun and delicious.  The best way to stick to a plan is to make sure it’s one that you can get excited about and this one is awesome!

Family Challenge Program Outline

Initial Visit

This includes a 2 hour assessment and goal setting. We will have paperwork sent to your family to complete prior to your initial visit. This will help us establish where we are starting from, pinpoint key motivators and help us uncover important emotional aspects to facilitate change.

During this visit we will help you choose the goals you are going to work on over the next 8 weeks, including the creation of a rewards chart for the family and each child.  This visit is designed to build excitement and get everyone on board.

8 Week action plan.

Each week you will download information for that week, including menu plans, recipes and challenges. These have been designed by our own OBB nutritionist and approved by Chad Oler, ND of the Natural Path Health Center – so you know that the information that you are getting is healthy, safe and packed full with great nutrition & information. These tried and true techniques will have even the pickiest of eaters eating better in no time, even when eating out.

Questions will come up, so we’ve built plenty of time into your program to check in and ask any questions that come up during your Family Challenge.

 Graduation Day!

This is a time to celebrate! Once you complete your Family Challenge, we will review your progress and achievements and set up a game plan for moving forward and staying on the right track.
